Watch Out for Cracks!

Do you know what it is like to walk faithfully, personally and ministerially, and then, at the last minute, damage everything?

A “CRACK” is a long, narrow opening produced naturally by a lack of water on the ground, or by repeated blows to a solid body.

Having cracks in our lives is a mortal danger.

Cracks in the soul don’t occur overnight; they are generated by repeated blows, which cause openings in the mind and spirit, allowing the entry of contaminating elements that will bring death and spiritual destruction to the heart.

These blows are: giving in to the desires of the flesh, slander, inappropriate treatment of family, dishonor, physical, emotional, sexual, and spiritual abuse, or poor financial management. These or other ongoing experiences are stored in the heart, eventually causing the destruction of the soul and good name.

Think about this: Before you receive what God has prepared for you and wants to give you, the cracks must be repaired so you can retain it. (Rom. 8:5-6).

Let us remember the words of Paul of Tarsus: “Therefore, if anyone purges himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, (not cracked), sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work” (2 Tim. 2:21).
